Application for the Presentation Skills Workshop
In weekly meetings (Fridays, during the Spring semester, 3.15-5.05pm) students work individually and in groups to acquire a voice that engages reviewers and interviewers. The kind of writing and speaking required in competitive selection processes is rarely taught in the ordinary curriculum. This Workshop is designed to fill that void.
Applications to this Workshop should be submitted to the Fellowship Office by 5pm on December 4th, 2009.
Applications should include:
- An official transcript (please allot yourself enough time to request this from the Registrar's Office. It often takes more than a week for you to request this and have it either mailed to our office, or for you to drop it off by hand.)
- A curriculum vitae or elaborated resume (this should be no longer than two pages, but should adequately address your academic honors, research, and leadership activities.)
- Two letters of recommendation (at least one of these must be an academic recommendation from a professor who has taught you. They may both be academic letters if you so desire.)
Official transcripts should be either dropped off, or mailed to the Fellowship Office in hard copy. All other materials should be emailed to Ms. Maryam Mohamed by December 5th.
