CFI Freshman Application

Read this Letter From The Director to learn more about the CFI and the application process.

A complete application includes the following components:
  1. This completed cover sheet.
  2. Your Curriculum Vitae or Resume. The CFI will accept either a CV or a detailed resume in which you elaborate on the various bullet points of your experience. The key here, is that we would like detail so as to get a strong sense of your qualifications, experiences and suitability for the program. (Examples of resume, and CVs can be found in the Career Education Center's Website.) 
  3. A 500- word Statement of Purpose outlining your reasons for wishing to join the CFI.
  4. A copy of your Georgetown transcript (may be unofficial. You may copy and paste it from MyAccess)
  5. One Letter of Reference from one of your professors at Georgetown University (Professors should email their letters of recommendation directly from their Georgetown email address.) Please provide this form to your recommender.
How to submit your CFI application
  • Copy and paste the aforementioned components (completed cover sheet, CV or resume, statement of purpose and unofficial Georgetown transcript) into one Word document or PDF.
  • Please include your name as the title of your attachment (Jane Austen - CFI Application)
  • Email your application to carrollprograms@georgetown.edu by 2pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2009.
  • Upon submitting your application, you will receive an email to schedule an interview.
Applications that do not adhere to these guidelines will not be reviewed.
