CFI Application

Read this Letter From The Director to learn more about the CFI and the application process.

A complete application includes the following components:
  1. This completed cover sheet.
  2. Your Curriculum Vitae or Resume. The CFI will accept either a CV or a detailed resume in which you elaborate on the various bullet points of your experience. The key here, is that we would like detail so as to get a strong sense of your qualifications, experiences and suitability for the program. Examples of resume formats, and CVs can be found here.
  3. A 500- word Statement of Purpose. Outline your reasons for wishing to join the CFI.
  4. A copy of your transcript (may be unofficial.)
  5. One Letter of Reference from one of your professors at Georgetown University (Professors must email their reference letters directly from their Georgetown email address.)
How to submit your CFI application
  • Copy and paste the aforementioned components (completed cover sheet, CV or resume, statement of purpose and unofficial transcript) into one Word document.
  • Please include your name as the title of your attachment (Jane Austen - CFI Application)
  • Email your application to carrollprograms@georgetown.edu by 5pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2008.
Applications that do not adhere to these guidelines will not be reviewed.
