Randal Drew
Randal Drew is currently a senior in the Walsh School of Foreign Service. He has a strong interest in Western intellectual history. Within the Culture and Politics major, he specializes in political and social philosophy and is a certificate candidate in the Social and Political Thought Program.
Randal is President of the Philodemic Society, one of the oldest collegiate debating societies in the United States. He presides over the Society’s weekly debates, and oversees the Society’s numerous collegiate and intercollegiate initiatives. Randal is also a Student Fellow at the Tocqueville Forum for the Roots of American Democracy, and is the Founding Director of the Conference on the American Polity, a joint venture with Princeton University’s James Madison Program.
Moreover, Randal is interested in modern international affairs and security issues, with a focus on Western Europe. For the past two summers he has researched international security at Washington think tanks, most recently the American Enterprise Institute. This June, The Washington Times published his Op-Ed, “Hill Battle for the F-22.”
Randal has also studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and is fluent in Spanish.
