Elisa Dun
Elisa Dun is a junior in the School of Foreign Service. Her major is Regional and Comparative Studies: Middle East and Asia, with a focus on forced migration.
This past summer, she was awarded the Lisa J. Raines and AAP Summer Fellowship to interview internal migrant maids residing in Shanghai. The research culminated in several on-campus presentations of her findings. Two summers ago, she traveled to Israel/Palestine to better understand the situation of Palestinian refugees as well as methods of attaining just peace for all in the region.
Elisa is fluent in English, proficient in Mandarin, and currently enrolled in Intensive Intermediate Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). She loves language and has volunteered to teach English to two Chinese students from the countryside and refugees in Jenin.
She is currently co-president of Georgetown's Students for Justice in Palestine and co-leader of the International Migration Cluster.
