Thomas Hsu-Yao
Thomas Hsu-Yao, of Greenwich, Connecticut, is a Chemistry Major and a Mathematics Minor in Georgetown College, Class of 2010.
Thomas is a fellow in the John Carroll Initiative (CFI), a George F. Baker Scholar, an Arnold O. Beckman Scholar and a Resident Assistant in Reynolds Family Hall. All four provide Thomas with the foundation to advance his leadership, research, and analytical skills.
Thomas has studied chemistry for the past six years and his passion has only grown deeper in that time. This past summer, he completed his fuel cell nanoparticle chemistry research, which culminated in a scientific publication and a national American Chemical Society oral presentation.
Apart from his lab work, as a Baker Scholar, Carroll Fellow and Resident Assistant, Thomas has become a mentor to his peers in sharing his experience and interests. Through the end of his senior year, Thomas will continue his development at Georgetown by fully living the Carroll motto: Mentis Vita Pro Vita Mundi. He is committed to his full development, not only to his passion in chemistry.
