Carroll Clusters
Fellows actively participate in Clusters during their tenure in the CFI program. Student designed and student led, these topical discussion groups extend the CFI experience beyond the classroom. In Clusters groups, students meet with other intellectually motivated students to share ideas and develop potential research interests. In recent years, Clusters have focused on topics such as education, film, electoral reform and border aggression. Clusters are designed to help students learn to collaborate in intellectual work. Each Cluster selects a long-term project, designed to produce a public outcome (e.g. a symposium, a workshop, or comparable public presentation) by the end of the academic year.
