Welcome to the Carroll Fellows Initiative
The Carroll Fellows Initiative is Georgetown’s flagship opportunity for its most academically talented and ambitious undergraduates. Carroll Fellows see their college years as a preparation for leadership. Outcome-oriented and highly individualistic, they are eager to assume active roles in shaping both the process and the product of their education. Carroll Fellows have been instrumental in establishing and guiding key features of campus life, including: the Carroll Round, an annual, multi-campus Conference on Economics; Mentis Vita, Georgetown’s magazine of undergraduate research, and GOLE, Georgetown’s Outreach for Learning in Education program. Carroll students are successful inside the established curriculum, but they are also broadly curious, energetic, and effective, committed to living fully the Carroll motto: Mentis Vita Pro Vita Mundi – the life of the mind for the life of the world.
