Kathryn Tucker

Kathryn TuckerKathryn Tucker is a junior in the School of Nursing and Health Studies majoring in International Health with a pre-medical concentration. Kathryn grew up in a military family and has lived in nine different states, most recently Tijeras, New Mexico. At Georgetown, she is an improviser in the Georgetown Players Improv Group, acts as the Student Director of the John Main Center for Meditation and Inter-Religious Dialogue, and is involved in Take Back the Night, an organization that aims to raise awareness about gendered violence. She also works at the Woodstock Theological Center, where she edits videos for podcasts and coordinates the newly created Woodstock Undergraduate Research Fellowship. Kathryn’s extracurricular and academic activities have fueled a passion for advocating for women’s rights, especially among vulnerable and under-served communities. Through her Raines project, “Domestic Violence Against Native Americans in New Mexico: Causes, Consequences and Response,” she seeks to raise awareness about injustices and inequalities that exist even in America.
