Research Opportunities for Carroll Fellows

  • The Kluge Center at the Library of Congress

Fellows also have the extraordinary opportunity to serve as Research Assistants for the Kluge Center at the Library of Congress. The Kluge Center brings leading intellectuals and academics to undertake advanced research in Washington, DC. Many Kluge Scholars look for and rely on the help of Carroll Research Assistants. Students interested in becoming a Research Assistant should contact the CFI Office for more information.

What do Kluge Center Research Assistant do? Read the Doing Research page to find out!

  • Raines/AAP

The Lisa J. Raines and AAP Fellowships are an outstanding opportunity for students to engage in independent summer research. These fellowships help fund independent research that has been designed and proposed by a Fellow.

  • GUROP

Fellows are encouraged to participate in substantial research while undergraduates. The CFI strongly supports GUROP, the Georgetown Undergraduate Research Program. Through GUROP, students can work closely with a faculty member on his or her research. Those students who work as Research Assistants during the semester can later apply for more intensive summer research grants. Please visit the GUROP website for more information.
